Did you know that by including meditation as part of your client’s session or leading a group through meditation you can greatly benefit their healing journey? Whether you are working one on one with someone or in a group setting, meditation has been proven to aid in easing stress, managing pain, assisting in making life changes and leaving the client with a sense of peace and relaxation. That is why Janice has been blending meditation and self-hypnosis into all her workshops and sessions for the past 20 years and what has led her in creating a Meditation Facilitator’s Certification Course.
“Prior to your course, our meditations were not well received or taken seriously by most clients to be honest. Since the course it is one of the most popular and I think effective parts of our program.”
She has incorporated her twenty years of personal experience as a meditation facilitator, Reiki Master (instructor),spiritual coach and as a Certified Hypnotherapist through The National Guild of Hypnotists, and The University of Metaphysics where I have earned my Masters in Metaphysical Science, (thesis was written on The Healing Benefits of Meditation) into creating this course.
She has been a guest speaker, and facilitator at a local university, for businesses, organizations such as sexual assault centre, women’s shelter, addiction retreat, wellness retreats, as well as designing and creating a variety of metaphysical and spiritual classes for her service Mindful Journey conducted both in person and online. She has written about the amazing calming and healing that comes from the daily practice of meditation and the necessity of using self-hypnosis in manifesting one’s goals in both of her books, Make it Happen and Sally’s Closet. What better to learn than from someone who has the experience, training and expertise?
This course is designed to be taken online in four 1.5 hour sessions. There is homework to be completed each week and a final assignment to be submitted prior to receiving a certificate.
” It was a very valuable learning experience for me.”
This course is primarily for those individuals who already provide a healing modality as part of their practice, coaching, counseling, or are looking to lead a meditation circle. There are many similarities between self-hypnosis and meditation that can be incorporated in such settings such as sound healing, Reiki, coaching, yoga, massage, physical exercise, recovery retreats, and more. By learning the simple, yet powerful, methods of presenting these into a session, you will be able to further assist your clients on their healing journey. It is not intended to be religious in any way but rather a mindful and holistic approach to over all well being.
By taking this course you will be taking the first step in bettering your own personal healing of mind, body, and spirit, and preparing yourself, should you wish to go further into hypnosis. This course does not qualify you to be a hypnotherapist or hypno-coach but rather shows you how to use some basic methods of self-hypnosis to deepen the relaxation of your client’s meditations and in goal setting.
During the four classes you will cover the following:
- Learn what meditation is, its benefits.
- Learn what self-hypnosis is, its benefits, how it compares to meditation.
- Why would you want to use this in your practice?
- What benefits can it have for your business, and more importantly to your clients?
- Myths to debunk about both modalities – separate fact from fiction.
- What is your role/responsibility as the facilitator?
- Can all people use these techniques? Observations to make during a session.
- Flow of a meditation, what to include, theme.
- Flow of a self-hypnosis, its use and purpose, client involvement in its creation.
- Importance of voice, tempo, music or not, location, length.
- How to create a script for meditation.
- What is your client’s involvement/role in creating a script?
- How to prepare yourself to lead a meditation circle.
- How to prepare a space for a meditation circle.
- What to watch for when leading either meditation.
- Importance of feedback from your clients. Helping them to continue at home.
- Creating and presenting your own script. What to include, what to leave out. Copyright.
- How to prepare a “Learn to Meditate Class”, what to include, length, etc.
Requirements:
- Students are to watch my Learn to Meditate Online Class. This will provide them with a guide to their own meditation practice and an outline for teaching a meditation class that includes creating one’s space, intention, etc. They can then use this as a guide for creating their own class outline but they will need to create their own scripts.
- Each student will need to do a short 10 minute meditation for the group during our final class.
- Students will be required to provide a write up showing how they used meditation with a group and in private sessions, with a minimum of two clients and two groups of minimums of two in the group. This report must have feedback from the participants. This will be used to obtain their certificate and to help them improve their sessions. Certificate will not be issued until this assignment is received.
- Above all, a willingness and desire to make meditation a part of their personal journey in order to better serve the clients.
What will be included:
- All notes will be emailed to the students prior to that week’s class.
- Students can go to this website and view the “Learn to Meditate” classes.
- Once a week for four weeks they will meet with Rev. Janice via Zoom. These classes will be 1.5 hours in length.

- Upon handing in the final reports, students will receive their certificates by mail and a PDF copy can be emailed to them if desired.
