This course is primarily for those individuals who already provide a healing modality as part of their practice or are looking to lead a meditation circle.  There are many similarities between self-hypnosis and meditation that can be incorporated in such things as sound healing, Reiki, coaching, yoga, massage, physical exercise and more.  By learning the simple, yet powerful, methods of presenting these into a session, you will be able to further assist your clients on their healing journey.

By taking this course you will be taking the first step in bettering your own personal healing of mind, body, and spirit, and preparing yourself, should you wish to go further into hypnosis.  This course does not qualify you to be a hypnotherapist or hypno-coach but rather shows you how to use some basic methods of self-hypnosis to deepen the relaxation of your client’s meditations.

Over the next four classes you will cover the following:

  1. Learn what meditation is, its benefits.
  2. Learn what self-hypnosis is, its benefits, how it compares to meditation.
  3. Why would you want to use this in your practice?
  4. What benefits can it have for your business, and more importantly to your clients?
  5. Myths to debunk about both modalities – separate fact from fiction.
  6. What is your role/responsibility as the facilitator?
  7. Can all people use these techniques? Observations to make during a session.
  8. Flow of a meditation, what to include, theme.
  9. Flow of a self-hypnosis, its use and purpose, client involvement in its creation.
  10. Importance of voice, tempo, music or not, location, length.
  11. How to create a script for meditation.
  12. What is your client’s involvement/role in creating a script?
  13. How to prepare yourself to lead a meditation circle.
  14. How to prepare a space for a meditation circle.
  15. What to watch for when leading either meditation.
  16. Importance of feedback from your clients. Helping them to continue at home.
  17. Creating and presenting your own script. What to include, what to leave out. Copyright.
  18. How to prepare a “Learn to Meditate Class”, what to include, length, etc.

Requirements:

  • Students are to watch my Learn to Meditate Online Class. This will provide them with a guide to their own meditation practice and an outline for teaching a meditation class that includes creating one’s space, intention, etc. They can then use this as a guide for creating their own class outline but they will need to create their own scripts.
  • Each student will need to do a short 10 -15 minute meditation for the group during our final class.
  • Students will be required to provide video or write up showing how they used meditation and/or self-hypnosis with a group and in private sessions, with a minimum of four clients and two groups of minimums of two in the group. This report must have feedback from the participants.  This will be used to obtain their certificate and to help them improve their sessions.  Certificate will not be issued until I have received this assignment.

What will be included:

  • All notes will be emailed to the students prior to that week’s class.
  • Students can go to this website and view the “Learn to Meditate” classes.
  • Once a week for four weeks they will meet with Rev. Janice via Zoom. These classes will be 1.5  hours in length.
  • There will be time allowed each class for any questions and sharing of experiences.
  • Upon handing in the final reports, students will receive their certificates by mail and well as a PDF copy emailed to them.
