The benefits of taking time each day to be still and meditate are fast becoming the “top” news in medical breakthroughs.  Even though this is an ancient technique, it is just becoming popular throughout the western world. It has been discovered by science that when people take time to meditate they can actually lower their blood pressure, release stress, obtain relief from chronic pain and gain a sense of peace on contentment within.

Who couldn’t use some of this! Getting started is made easier when done in a group as you will be able to discuss any questions that may arise from your meditation experiences as well as learning ways to help you relax more quickly.  Practice and patience are the two main keys to success. Weekly Drop in Meditation Classes – Come join us for a weekly discussion and meditation. This has become a wonderful and powerful “healing circle” as we work to increase our awareness. Every week we have a new topic, open discussions where everyone can be heard or quietly listen, it is up to you, then together we meditate. This warm environment welcomes you to bring your mind, body and spirit together for healing, rejuvenating and growth. Begins at 7 pm every Tuesday evening at 52 Victoria Avenue. Cost is $10, hand outs of the night’s topic are provided.

December 13th, 2011 – What lessons did you learn this past year? Where do you want to go in 2012? This class will touch on these topics, followed by a group meditation based on reflection and manifestation.

December 20th,2011 – Christmas Vegetarian Potluck with “Re-gift Exchange” (contact me for details) starting at 6:30pm, followed by fellowship and drumming circle.

January 03,2012 – Let make a Vision Board 2012.  Bring your magazines, pictures and thoughts on where you want to go in 2012. Gazing into the future meditation will end the evening.

January 10,2012 – Continuing the manifestation journey.

January 17,2012 – Breathing Exercises, remembering the importance of breath.

Chakra Meditation Course

Learn the power you have within…the energy of your Chakras. By taking this two day weekend course, you will become aware of just What your Chakras are, Where they are located, How they effect your emotions, spiritual development and physical well-being and Why you need to bring them all into balance.

This course is an excellent start on your journey towards inner peace. Each Chakra is discussed, followed by a guided Chakra Balancing Meditation. If you have never meditated before, you will soon learn how through demonstrations of breathing, preparing a Sacred Place and allowing your inner self to be guided to new levels of awareness. Knowing the working of the Chakras is extremely beneficial to all present healers and especially those just beginning their healing path. This is an extremely powerful weekend.  You will definitely leave with a not only an understanding of the mind-body-spirit connection but a true connection of “self” and “spirit”.

Meditation 101 – Learning to Meditate – Sunday, February 12

Class runs from 1pm -4pm at 52 Victoria Avenue, Marmora.  This afternoon workshop will introduce you to the basics in meditation; its effectiveness in obtaining well-being and its importance in bringing balance into your life.  You will leave with a better understanding on how meditation can become part of your everyday life.  Handouts will be provided.  Cost is $35.
