Well here we are almost to the half way mark of January. By now many of you are either taking ahold of your New Year’s Resolutions and moving forward, or you are having second thoughts and beginning to think of all the reasons you now cannot do what you thought you wanted to. When the latter happens often you will begin to feel discourages and anxious. Let me step in right there.
What were the goals you set for yourself? Were they for your higher good? Reachable and attainable or did you set yourself up for disappointment? I like to look at the new year as a time of reflecting on the year just gone by, all the ups and downs and lessons learned. Then I decide how I can make this year one of spiritual and personal growth for myself and those around me.
Meditation is my cure all and it is through this daily practice that I find an inner peace and place of reflection and focus. Good thing because the world around me can be a chaotic and if I only focused on that, I would never achieve my goals.
Sometimes you may feel you need to push forward and make things happen but more often, it is in the knowing when to be patient and wait for the Universe to bring things to you. That doesn’t mean you do nothing! Rather you are in a place of trust and open to the people and opportunities that will come your way and allow you to be all you can be. I recently met a woman who stated in 2014 she had literally lost everything but her cat – job, relationship, home, car. I told her “you now have no excuse but to move forward with your true purpose…you no longer have the blockages and ties that were keeping you back.” She agreed and is determined to make 2015 a year of change.
Doesn’t it come back to how we look at our life? I could be negative but why would I want to be? I can choose how I feel, how I think and what I want to attract in my life so let it be light, love and healing. 2015 I am ready for you…bring it on!
